Do I need any interpreting equipment? For most consecutive business interpreting the interpreting is simply whispered or softly spoken to a small audience. For meetings that take the form of discussions around a table you would usually require a digital microphone system. Many companies have their own, but if you don’t we can arrange the hire of all equipment as part of the service. If you have a slightly larger group of visitors, are doing out of office tours or need to visit noisy locations we recommend the use a Tour Guide system. The interpreter will speak into a microphone, and each delegate will hear it through their own headset. For presentations to an audience in multiple languages you will need sound-proofed booths. The interpreters will work in teams of two or three, depending on the duration of the event; they will speak into a microphone and the delegates will listen to their native language through their headset. Each language is assigned a different channel. |
